Construction begins soon!

With the help of a much-needed Grant from the State of Oregon, as well as some generous donations from other lodges in Oregon, the members of Seaport Lodge #7 have authorized $40,000 in spending to begin working on repairing and restoring the exterior of the building. The city has approved the work, and our contractor plans to begin the job in early April of 2023. The focus of this first phase of the work is to prevent water from entering the building. We’ve identified areas of the cornice near the roof of the building, as well as some faulty drains, as the main points of intrusion. Efforts will soon be underway to pull off and replace the most damaged areas of cornice work, and to repair and stabilize the drains and roofing areas where water can get in. This will help to ensure our building stays protected from the elements as we continue to fundraise for our restoration efforts.
