The 173rd Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Oregon

Worshipful Master Quinn Haase and Senior Warden Kris Berliner traveled to Bend OR recently to attend the 173rd Annual Communication of The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Oregon. They carried with them the votes representing the will of Seaport Lodge #7 in the legislative matters being brought before The Craft. Proposed changes to The Code included some simple items like changing the wording of “Organist” to “Musician” for accuracy and clarity. Other issues that were discussed involved limiting the Grand Trustees abilities to serve as Trustees in other appendant bodies. All present voted for the best interest of Masonry.

There was plenty of opportunity for fellowship and seeing old friends (and making some new ones). Worshipful Brother Quinn Haase was honored to be asked by the Grand Master Mark Posler to open and call to order the Friday session of the communication. On behalf of the brothers of Seaport Lodge #7, we extend our congratulations to the 2023-2024 elected and appointed Grand Lodge Officers. Our own (now former) District Deputy, Greg Hinkleman was announced as the Grand Senior Deacon for the Grand Lodge! We wish he and all the Grand Lodge officers a successful journey!
